| UMN and Social Welfare Council meet Posted on January 7, 2010 under News On 6th January 2009, the annual Project Advisory Committee meeting was held in UMN's Thapathali office. Dr Chhewang Namgel Lama, Member Secretary of the Social Welfare Council and one of its Directors, Mr Raju Joshi, attended along with representatives from the National Planning Commission, Education Ministry, Local Development Ministry and Ministry of Women, Children & Social Welfare. It was also good to have representatives from two of UMN's partner organisations in Dhading Cluster.
 The purpose of the meeting was to review UMN's work in 2008/2009 and our Programme Director, Shaha Bahadur Gurung gave a brief but comprehensive report after which there were several interested questions posed with some suggestions as well. A brief glimpse of the recent Nepal Television video on UMN's work in Dhading was shown and all invited participants were given a copy of this and also a copy of UMN's recent DVD on Maternal Health issues. |
