Donate Okhaldhunga Community Hospital in eastern Nepal
Back in 1961, Dr Jimmy Dick and his team opened a small dispensary in Okhaldhunga bazaar, eastern Nepal. Ever since then, UMN has been providing high-quality treatment and community health programmes in this remote area. Last year (2012-2013), Okhalghunga Community Hospital delivered 844 babies, performed 1,432 surgeries, treated 22,667 out-patients and provided NRP 9,549,446 (almost USD 100,000) worth of free care through its Medical Assistance Fund. A major building and refurbishing programme is currently transforming the old hospital into a new, up-to-date complex.
Please help us continue to provide much-needed services to people who live "under the shadow of Everest".
