Following the recent incessant rainfall across parts of Nepal, the Koshi River’s rising water level caused flooding in Saptari District on 26 & 27 September 2026. Yesterday, UMN, in collaboration with Sabal Nepal, JCAN and Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality, supported 70 affected families with food items in Ward No. 11 of the municipality, where low-lying settlements and communities residing near the dam were affected in particular.
