Thank you for your interest in United Mission to Nepal (UMN) and its work. We are also very grateful to God for His sustaining grace and for all the partners (locally and globally) for collaboration, cooperation, and partnership, providing resources, and upholding us in prayers for the work we do.
It has been a great privilege to work in the remote and rural areas of Bajhang, Doti, Nawalparasi West, Kapilvastu, Rukum East and Mugu with the vision Fullness of Life for all in a transformed Nepali society in partnership locally and globally to address the root causes of poverty. We are also planning to expand our works to Bara and Surkhet sometime in 2025.
We have continued to serve the people of Nepal since 1954, especially the poorest of the people living in poverty, in the areas of Health, Education, Livelihoods, Peace & Protection and Good Governance with Gender Equality, Disability Inclusion, Climate Change and Conflict Sensitivity as overarching Cross Cutting issues. Recently, we have reviewed our work and will be adapting and managing some changes in these areas, which will be updated as we move on.
In October 2020, United Mission to Nepal Medical and Development Trust (MDT) was registered in Nepal to continue our hospital works in Tansen and Okhaldhunga. UMN MDT includes some social development involvement and continues to be part of UMN, where UMN and MDT share the same vision, mission, and values and are also governed by the same Board of Trustees.
We hope that your visit to our website will be informative and inspiring for you to engage and get involved with UMN in whichever way possible.
Thank you for visiting us!
