Still a few isolated communities need to receive the final components of the relief package, mostly in Lapa district. Several helicopter flights have been booked this week, so we hope to be able to report Phase 1 as 100% completed soon.
Meanwhile, the infographic (right) gives some idea of the scale of UMN’s relief operation so far, and the times involved in getting emergency supplies to needy communities.
Procurement of seeds and tools is continuing, and distribution of these will begin shortly.
A proposal for the recovery and rebuilding phase has been completed.
This gives some idea of the scale of UMN’s relief distribution in Dhading. It’s been a mamoth task – just a few remote villages to complete now.
