A three day residential workshop organized by Tearfund on ‘Peace and conflict sensitivity’ ended yesterday at the Bhaktapur Guest House.The sessions were facilitated by INF and UMN peace teams.  The particpants included staff from Tearfund partners, Sagoal, CATS, Share and Care and UMN.

The objectives of this workshop was to –

  • Develop conceptual understanding about peace, conflict and sensitivity in development work
  • Deeper knowledge to analyse the impacts of our projects
  • Influence the strategic thinking of our organisations in the context of project planning and implementation
  • Experience the need for conflict sensitivity in our development work

Balkumari Gurung, Peacebuilding Team Leader of UMN said,” This interactive workshop was very successful and will be helpful in analyzing  the individual organisation projects with conflict sensitive tools. All participants are eager to implement the learnings in their work soon.”
