A three day residential workshop organized by Tearfund on ‘Peace and conflict sensitivity’ ended yesterday at the Bhaktapur Guest House.The sessions were facilitated by INF and UMN peace teams.┬а The particpants included staff from Tearfund partners, Sagoal, CATS, Share and Care and UMN.

The objectives of this workshop was to –

  • Develop conceptual understanding about peace, conflict and sensitivity in development work
  • Deeper knowledge to analyse the impacts of our projects
  • Influence the strategic thinking of our organisations in the context of project planning and implementation
  • Experience the need for conflict sensitivity in our development work

Balkumari Gurung, Peacebuilding Team Leader of UMN said,” This interactive workshop was very successful and will be helpful in analyzing┬а the individual organisation projects with conflict sensitive tools. All participants are eager to implement the learnings in their work soon.”
