Anti Human Trafficking (AHT) day was for the first time celebrated yesterday in Rupandehi.  In Butwal 10 organisations along with 3 AHT related partners of UMN had a programme organised to mark this day. A rally of about 400 people marched around town which ended with a speech from the Assistant Chief District Officer.  There was also a street drama performed about AHT.

UMN partners celebrated this day in Nawalparasi and Kapilbastu too.

This has enabled women and children to be aware about human trafficking and as to how they can protect themselves from traffickers. This event was also well covered by the local media.
