This year, UMN turned 72. At Thapathali office, staff members gathered to pause and reflect on UMN’s legacy and the personal journeys that brought each of them to UMN. Each story added a personal thread to UMN’s 72-year history, showing how individual paths have contributed to its impact across communities.

The celebration was made even more special as we rejoiced in three significant milestones: signing of the new Project Agreement in June 2025, Okhaldhunga Community Hospital’s license renewal in January 2026 and the General Agreement renewal in February 2026.

As part of the gathering, staff members also observed International Women’s Day through sharing on patriarchy, toxic masculinity and everyday lived realities, which was a reminder that transformation begins within ourselves.
