Clean water is essential to everyday life. In North Dhading following the 2015 earthquakes many communities lost their safe water supply. On a recent visit to UMN’s partner projects there, our Executive Director, Joel Hafvenstein, was happy to sample the water from newly-completed taps (dhara) in several villages and schools. In total 417 taps have been installed through the Dhading Disaster Response Program (DDRP), benefitting nearly 950 households.
