As part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence, awareness activities were carried out in Bajhang and Bara.
In Bajhang, with UMN’s support, community members promoted gender equality through a Deuda performance, using the local culture to raise awareness. Also, local government representatives and community members had a meaningful discussion about their roles and responsibilities in ending gender-based violence at the local level.
In Bara, the Ward Child Rights Committee, with support from UMN, Protection Nepal, and the local government, led a rally against gender-based violence and a community cleaning campaign.
We are grateful to everyone who helped make these activities successful.
