UMN Thapathali office staff have regular monthly Monday morning ‘tea in the garden’ time. An interesting half hour, where staff sip, munch and mingle around. In today’s tea, we had a brief presentation by Martin Butterworth, where we looked at some calculation of UMN’s Carbon Foot Print. Martin, a senior Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, showed a comparative graph from the last two years to illustrate the carbon production from the Thapathai office and also from our travel within and outside Nepal.
It was encouraging to know that the use of the backup generator in Thapathali office has been minimised, leading to some reduction in carbon dioxide production.
