May we propose thumbs up to our four male colleagues who participated in the Men’s March against gender violence to women and girls on International Women’s Day.  They are Mohan, Joel, Hira Lal and Kshitij. 

Yuwalaya, the youth group which organized this march, is only two years old.  From what we observed in the finishing point, most were young men under 25. The poems they shared were touching, insightful and clear in their commitment to gender equality and justice. Although the group had hoped for a turn-out of 300 men, we counted around 70 that finally arrived in the bazaar. It seems that conscientious men also need to unite.  We hope they reach the target or even higher next year.
