Last Friday, on 19 April, a fire broke out in Ward-1 of Yashodhara Rural Municipality (RM) in Kapilvastu due to the burning of wheat straw in a nearby village, affecting 38 households. Among them, thirty-one houses were completely damaged, leaving the residents with nothing to eat or wear. Yesterday, in coordination with the RM, UMN Kapilvastu Cluster, along with its partner organisation provided food support including rice, oil, lentils, sugar etc. to the affected households. Our prayers are with the affected families, and we hope they are able to return to their regular lives soon.
