With sadness, we announce the passing of our friend and former UMN colleague Raija Kiljunen from Finland. She passed away on 11 February 2026 after a long illness. Raija was a clinical psychologist who spent about 10 years in Nepal serving with passion. Psychiatric welfare was her focus and commitment, particularly for women and children. Having worked as the Programme Director of the Mental Health Project, Raija also worked in the Centre for Mental Counselling Nepal (CMC) during her time in Nepal.

We remember Raija’s family and near ones in prayer and extend our sincere condolences.
