We are saddened to share the news of Margaret’s passing on 29 December 2025. Margaret Cranston was known and appreciated by many, especially those who worked with her in the field of education.

From 1982 to 2002, Margaret devoted herself to serving poor communities in Nepal with UMN and later with INF. Among her many contributions while in Nepal, she started off with UMN, particularly in the field of education. Her years of service included teaching at a remote school in Makaising village, Gorkha, then moving on to significantly helping to establish a girls’ hostel at Gandaki Boarding School in Pokhara. Later, she taught at the Tansen Tutorial Group at Tansen Hospital.

We lovingly remember Margaret with gratitude, reflect on the impact and meaningful contribution she made in Nepal and hold her family in our prayers.
