To heighten awareness about gender-based violence occurring during and after disasters within UMN’s working community of Mugu, the Mugu Disaster Recovery Support (MUST) project recently organised a street drama in Wards 6 and 8 of Soru Rural Municipality. The dramas unfolded in five different locations across Soru, drawing attendees from nearby communities.
The dramas were performed by 12 local community members (7 men and 5 women) who were selected to receive training through a 5-day workshop, developing their skills in the arts and empowering them to contribute to raising awareness about this critical issue within their community.
