The hospital remembered this important event in two different ways: a rally and a formal programme. About two hundred people marched around the streets of Tansen bazaar with the 60th banner clad in cultural and formal outfits. This included guests, people from the management committee, staff and the local people. The formal programme at the hospital premises started with songs and poems followed by speech from important guests.
The presence of several honorable members of the Constituent Assembly, political parties and other government sectors was a great encouragement to all present. Everybody was delighted to have the presence of Marjory Foyle (93 years old), the first lady doctor of the hospital and the chief guest of the programme. She shared her deep passion to work in Nepal as well as her ups and downs during her tenure at the hospital.
