It was a proud moment for 18 young people yesterday who successfully completed and graduated the Community Development Management course on April 14, 2014. This graduation ceremony was even more special as this is the first batch to graduate. Share and Care Nepal has been running this diploma course on Community Development Management since last one year. The second batch of students were also given a warm welcome at the ceremony. The guest of honours included representatives from various organisations, political parties and the Constituent Assembly.
Dr. Rajendra Rongong, chairman of the graduation ceremony (also a consultant of Share and Care) congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to not just do what they do in the future but to own it with their heart and be fruitful in their community. He also shared some interesting stories of his days in the past as a scout leader.
At the end of the event, some graduates shared their experience.
Godawari said: I feel very proud that I have completed this course. Transformation starts with one person and then it spreads in the community. I have learnt about the work in the community, the culture and the process of development.
Bimal said: I have always dreamt of working in the community but I didn’t have the knowledge. From this course I have gained more knowledge than I had expected. I would like to commit my life to work for the needy women and children of Nepal. This course has transformed my life and I would like to invest my life in community development.
