December 1, World AIDS Day was celebrated at UMN garden yesterday morning with all UMN staff.  World Disability Day (December 3) was also marked at this celebration.  An HIV positive lady and a man living with disability were invited to share their experiences.  The programme had various presentations: a skit, quiz and group discussions, which made the two-hour programme very enjoyable for all.  

Later in the afternoon, UMN also participated in another AIDS Day celebration which was organized by 10 Christian organizations working in HIV and AIDS in Nepal.
Guest speakers were Dr. Marilyn, country representative of UNAIDS and Dr.Mahendra Bhattarai, a Pastor and a former board member of UMN. Several of our Cluster offices also participated in World AIDS Day activities in their working areas.
