Christian Family Life Education (CFLE), is a 12 week biblical based youth programme on life skills, reproductive health, HIV and AIDS conducted by trained local youth facilitators for church youth groups.

On December 4 last week, 46 CFLE facilitators (old and current), partner organisation and UMN staff attended the CFLE Sunsari get-together.

This programme was first started in Sunsari in 2008. This re-union helped to recall the early days of the training and the facilitators shared their life-changing experience and achievements. Marking its fifth glorious year, a special cake was also cut.

Manu Shrestha from Bethesda Church says, “Personally, CFLE programme has blessed me as well as my church youth. Through this programme one young girl was able to come back to her Christian faith. Now she attends the church regularly and is becoming spiritually stronger.”

Kiran Gurung, Dharan says, “This has been a stepping stone in my career. The skills and knowledge that I have learnt in CFLE training is now applicable in my work and church. Right after this training I was also offered a job as an accountant in BP Koirala Hospital.”
