Prayer Priorities – January 10, 2023
“But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds,” and I will show you my faith by my deeds.”
James 2:18

We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.

Prayer
  • Two Cluster Exploration Teams (15 staff in total) are now in Madhesh Province and Karnali Province, visiting for two weeks from 9 January 2023. Please pray for good health and successful visits.
  • Please uphold the various teams, especially Funding, Finance, Clusters and Grant Management Unit in prayers as they engage heavily in reviewing and reporting at this time of the year.
  • The expatriate visa issue has returned; currently four visas are stuck at the Home Ministry. They are now on tourist visa, which doesn’t allow them to work. It is not just us but some other organisations too are facing similar issues. Please pray that the Social Welfare Council would facilitate the process and the officials from Home Ministry would understand and cooperate on time to resolve the issue.
  • Please continue to pray for the best resolution of Thapathali property dispute.
  • We need to amend one of our Project Agreements as it was not approved until two years after the original submission! Please pray that the preparation and amendment would go smoothly.
  • Please continue to pray for the landslide-affected communities in Mugu and earthquake -affected communities in Doti and Bajhang. They desperately need shelter.
  • Please pray for Jiwan Rai as he is visiting Nawalparasi and Kapilvastu to facilitate Sangsangai Trainings for local churches from 10 to 12 January 2023.
  • Please pray that the next wave of COVID-19 infection be a milder one; the number of cases has been increasing in China and India, so Nepal is likely to see this soon.
  • Please remember to pray for stable government.
  • Continue to pray for a successful treatment for Rabbi, who is suffering from cancer.
  • Rajkumar Shrestha (Thapathali security guard) has gone home for a health check-up. Please pray that no issue arises in his check-up.

For Surendra who has a field monitoring visit in Bogtan where he will be facilitating the local partner in preparing a detailed implementation plan.

Tansen Hospital
