Prayer Priorities – January 3, 2023
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!â€

We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.
Praise
- Praise God that the financial monitoring and year-end closing of several projects like Sakxam, Badikedar Integrated Community Transformation (BICT) project, Children Oriented Resilient Development (CORD) project and CLIMATES project went well in Doti.
- Give thanks to God for the successful Okhaldhunga Hospital Community Based Rehabilitation Project’s annual review.
- Praise the Lord that Okhaldhunga Hospital has a new higher-grade transformer installed successfully.
- Praise God for the new year with new opportunities, we all have welcomed and celebrated the new day with new hopes.
- We are grateful to God for the completion of the UMN’s Vision Mission Values Workshops across the organisation.
- We are grateful to you all for your continuous prayers for the best resolution of Thapathali Property dispute, the Supreme Court hearing scheduled for 2nd Jan did not happen but postponed to 7 May 2023. Though disappointed, we believe that God has a purpose in it, and it will happen in His time. Please continue to pray.
Prayer
- Continue to pray for the ongoing cluster and hospital work, especially for new clusters exploration in Madesh Pradesh and Karnali Pradesh. Two teams are formed to visit respective provinces to carry out needed studies, they will be in the field next week. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance.
- Please continue to pray for the landslide affected communities in Mugu and Earthquake affected communities in Doti and Bajhang. They desperately need shelter.
- Please pray that the next wave of Covid-19 infection be a milder one, the number of cases have been increasing in China and India and soon will be in Nepal.
- Please remember our political leaders for a stable government that would be effective in bringing about peace, safety and security and development in the nation.
- Please continue to remember Rabbi as he is going through chemotherapy again. Pray for God’s healing touch in his body, wisdom for the doctors treating him and peace in his heart.
Cluster Work
- Please pray for the successful project agreement of the Children Oriented Resilient Development (CORD) project for the period of January to December 2023 and Sakxam project for the period January to June 2023 in Doti cluster.
- Please pray for the cluster team as they are preparing the annual financial and technical report of their concerned projects in Doti cluster.
- Please pray for the safety and travel of the Doti cluster team members as some of them are involved in field travels for the monitoring of their concerned projects.
- Please pray for a six days value-based community transformation (Rupantaran) training in Butwal, being organised till 5th Jan 2023, for the staff of CYCC Kapilvastu and SCRIP project of Nawalparasi clusters together with some EC members of partner organisations–SSDO and Indereni. Please pray for successful event completion and sound learning of all 24 participants in the training.
- Please pray for successful external audit of Civil Peace Service project from 5 January in Nawalparasi.
- Please pray for safety and protection of people in Nawalparasi and other parts of Nepal from the cold wave.
Tansen Hospital
- Pray for the interviews for new staff taking place this week.
- Pray for our support staff in housekeeping, stores and central sterile supplies department as they fulfil a vital role in the hospital.
- Pray for the land use permission for the wastewater project which is still pending.
Okhaldhunga Hospital
- Pray for Okhaldhunga Hospital Management team as they need to get solar panels and inverter of the hospital repaired.
- Pray for the recruitment panel of Okhaldhunga hospital as they are running a recruitment process for a physiotherapist.
- Pray for the wisdom for all the department in-charge and internal management committee members as we are working on annual planning for fiscal year 2080/81 (2023)
- Pray for the freedom for those people who are addicted to alcohol
