Prayer Priorities – June 28, 2022
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.
  • Praise God that all the Project Agreements were finally signed on Sunday and as a result all our projects are legally implemented, and we are allowed to apply for expat work visas. We are very grateful to all prayer partners for consistently upholding us in prayer over a long period of time.
  • Praise God with us that the son of one of our staff members in Tansen Hospital had urgent major cardiac surgery in Kathmandu last week, and is doing well now.
  • The Newborn High Dependency Unit in Tansen was opened last week. Pray for the doctors and nurses caring for these tiny ones in need.
  • Thank you for your prayer for our partner staff (in Rukum), Mr Fattya Rijal Pro-ACT project officer, is getting better, and all the reports were fine.
  • Please begin praying about the application process for work visas related to the above agreements. Pray that it will proceed without unnecessary delay.
  • Pray for health issues of our staff and families – Dr. Olak for complete healing, he has got some post-operative complication; also continue to pray for Rabbi; the wife of Bhagirath and the father of Sagar for recovery as well.
  • The cluster teams have been reviewing and revising Strategic Plans. The writing up has been progressing well, but please pray that all of this will be completed soon.
  • The on-going property dispute still continues with many twists and turns. Please continue to pray for a good resolution.
  • Please remember to pray for the safety of staff who are travelling during the monsoon
  • The leadership team cluster meeting is on 29 and 30 June. Pray for the LTC members as they have to discuss and decide on different agendas.
  • Many training sessions are planned for nursing and medical staff in coming weeks – pray for the trainers and trainees – that they will both work hard and patients will benefit.

  • Please pray for Suraj Sonar, Suresh Pariyar (UMN) and partner staff of Nepal Magar Society Service and Information Centre (MIC Nepal) are participating in a three-day Advocacy workshop from 29 June to 1 July at Nepalgunj organized by Tearfund Nepal
  • Please pray for a fruitful project review meeting of the SEED project at Bardiya from 3-5 July
  • On 28 & 29 June, representatives in each cluster are being trained in the use of Kobo (a program for recording survey data which is so vital for all our projects). This particular training is to help with two projects among church members in all our cluster areas (IDRA & TFCR).
  • Please pray for all cluster work and staff safety at this time of year
