Prayer Priorities – November 15, 2022
“He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.â€

We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.
Praise
- The training on ‘Gender and Development’ for men group members of Bogtan Fudsil Rural Municipality in Doti Cluster facilitated by Cheli and Surendra was fruitful and it was well received all the participants.
- Praise God that Doti Cluster and Integral Development Teams (Ramesh, Rajendra and Jiwan) facilitated Integral Mission workshop in Dadeldhura from 10-11 Nov for the church leaders from Dadeldhura, Doti, Bajhang, Achham, Baitadi, Darchula and Bajura.
- UMN Board meeting held on 13 and 14 November went well. Thank you for the prayers. Prayers have been answered with safe travel, good health, wisdom, and strength.
- Praise God for safe travel of staff and safety of Doti, Bajhang and Mugu Teams during the earthquake last week.
Prayer
- General elections will be held in Nepal on 20 November 2022 to elect the 275 members of the House of Representatives. Please pray for a peaceful election with fair and effective leaders to be chosen. Pray for journey mercies as our staff travel to their hometowns/villages to cast votes.
- Pray for the landslide affected community in Mugu and earthquake affected communities in Doti and Bajhang, esp. for relief and recovery works, may it be on time to meet the needs and fairness.
- Continue to pray for the ongoing cluster and hospital works, especially for new clusters exploration in Madesh Pradesh and Karnali Pradesh. Two teams are formed to visit respective provinces to carry out needed studies. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance.
- Please continue to pray for UMN’s property issue to be resolved soon.
Cluster Work
- Please pray for the earthquake-affected families in Doti. The earthquake claimed 6 lives, 8 got injured, 28 families were displaced, 14 houses completely collapsed, and 108 houses got partially damaged. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance for the Doti cluster team as they are working to provide winterization support to the affected families.
- The Kapilvastu cluster team is finalizing the writing of a new livelihood project, and narratives for the second phase of the CYCC project. Please pray for the cluster team to successfully complete the project writing.
Tansen Hospital
- Pray for our rehab therapists (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and neuro-rehab) as they help our patients get their mobility back and help with activities of daily living. Pray for our patients with spinal cord injuries who have long stays in hospital and thanks for the visit of the Nepalabilty team from Canada who are with us next week to give some training to staff.
- Please continue to pray for the permission to use the small patch of forestry land for the wastewater project and that this can be approved locally. Pray for Adriaan Los (England) who is visiting to finalise some technical details.
