On March 5, UMN celebrated its 59th birthday with the Thapathali staff at the garden.  The cake was big enough to hold another celebration – International Women’s Day which also falls in the same week, March 8.

UMN Board members, Rebecca Sinha and Prakash Subba were also present to help cut the cake.
 
Sushma Rajbanshi, Advisor of UMN Health Team gave a short talk on some practical issues that city women face at work and challenged everybody to think about ‘positive discrimination’.
 
It all ended very well with the men serving tea and cake to the ladies at the celebration.
