I was impressed to see 50 students including their tutors graduate from HIV and AIDS course with much enthusiasm, conviction and commitment to help their churches and communities to prevent spread of HIV and care for people living with HIV.
The HIV and AIDS course was developed by Bible college principals with support from Micah Network and UMN. This was aimed to prepare and equip graduates in theological institutions to become more conversant with HIV and AIDS issues, grow into more effective leaders and participate in efforts to address and mitigate HIV’s impact. The students’ ability is enhanced to faithfully apply biblical teachings in the context of HIV and AIDS and to mobilize churches to respond effectively to the challenges posed by HIV.
