On 6th July, 2011 UMN Integral Mission team organised an Ex-UMN intern’s retreat in Nagarkot. The objective of the gathering was to listen to the stories of each intern during and after the internship. Young people, who spent a year or less in UMN as interns, shared of their internship experiences and learning.  Most of them are now either engaged in church or other organisations in social sector.

The retreat comprised of sessions, devotions, games, and talent show. Pastors and leaders gave devotions on “Arise, let your light shine for others to see” (Is. 60:1). This emphasized the importance of light and its shining in the midst of hopelessness around. Each was encouraged to look ahead as a bearer of God’s light. The highlight of the retreat was talent show night where participants encouraged each other by their songs, dances, and fun activities.
