The four-day participatory gender and development workshop for UMN’s Thapathali programme staff was completed yesterday. 18 staff actively participation in the workshop titled, “Participatory Gender and Development Training.”
UMN’s Gender Advisor Hazel Wong who facilitated the workshop says, “As a facilitator I am particularly touched by the willingness of participants to share personal experiences of how the social construction of gender affects us. I am also impressed by the honest reflection of our work using newly acquired gender lens. Together we want to bring concrete change towards a more equal world between women and men, boys and girls both in personal life and work.”
