400 hundred girls and women from all over Nepal gathered around Jawalakhel seven in the morning to start their run. They were not running to win a race, they were not running to get places. They were running to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Women LEAD organized the 5K Run together with Higher Grounds Bakery and Cycle City Group. The organisers were happy with the amazing turn out of 400 runners.
A bunch of powerful runners from UMN took part in this event too. Boys and men showed their support too by cheering along the routes and volunteering at the water points.
What a great way to celebrate the occasion. Congratulations to all the runners!
