Understanding that poor health is a major repercussion of poverty along with multiple other factors, UMN is contributing to the health sector in Nepal by diligently working in improving the health and wellbeing of rural communities, particularly women and children, through integrated health programmes. Family planning, WASH, mental health, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, strengthening local health systems are our areas of focus with maternal and child health being our area of excellence.

UMN also manages and operates two long-serving mission hospitals – United Mission Hospital Tansen and Okhaldhunga Community Hospital which serve the needs of thousands of people in and around the districts.
