A Memorandum of Understanding between UMN and B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) was signed on 2nd March 2006. Under this agreement UMN will continue to second the two existing appointees to BPKIHS as long as they are willing and available to be seconded.

UMN has advertised for new staff for BPKIHS on the UMN website. Any new person joining the institute would be a direct appointment of the hospital and UMN would not be involved in any way.
