Nepal will witness its first local elections being held in 20 years on 14 May 2017, a historic event for the country that has struggled with difficult political transitions. According to the Election Commission Nepal (ECN), there will be a total of 10,640 polling locations and 18,572 polling centres for the 1,40,54,482 voters.
