Miss Christine Winifred Preston has been awarded the Order of British
Empire (OBE) for services to healthcare and development in Bangladesh
and Nepal. She has been working with United Mission to Nepal (UMN) for
the past 10 years.

The Order of the British Empire is the order of chivalry of
British democracy, created by King George V in 1917. Valuable service
is the only criterion for the award, and the Order is now used to
reward service in a wide range of useful activities.
