Singing “Namaste for Nepal”
Singing “Namaste for Nepal”

Love it when people can use the gifts they have and the things they love to do to make life better for others. That’s the case with over 200 people in Hong Kong who love to sing. Choir Aid brings together choristers from lots of choirs to raise funds for causes they feel strongly about.

And people in Nepal who’ve lost so much get the benefit. On 17 May, Choir Aid’s “Namaste for Nepal” concert lifted the roof of St John’s Cathedral, with many of Hong Kong’s leading choirs taking part. The Cecilian Singers and the Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir were honoured to be co-organisers of the event, but all really enjoyed taking part and raising money to help those suffering as a result of the earthquake.

Altogether, they raised a massive HKD 200,000 (USD 25,800), to be divided between UMN and CWS.

Big thank you to all those singers, and their generous supporters.

We’re singing your praises!
