To provide advocacy skills on interfaith peace and harmony, Interfaith Peace Federation Nepal (IPFN), in collaboration with UMN, organised national advocacy skills training to the member organisations of IPFN.
The two-day training was held last week with 49 participants, including 20 females from 24 different organisations and interfaith networks working on interfaith peace and harmony. The training was helpful to provide the knowledge, skills and process for organising interfaith dialogue among cultural, ethnic and religious communities. Mohamad Ali, a participant shared, “I am lucky to have received such a practical training. It was a good opportunity for me to learn the skills of conducting the dialogue among different communities based on their needs and the local context.â€
Towards the end of the training, three groups (one each from Sunsari and Morang District and two from Kathmandu) developed an action plan to conduct two interfaith dialogues in Kathmandu and one in Morang.
