Once facing sanitation challenges and poor waste management, the community in Putha Uttarganga turned things around with UMN’s support. The village introduced clean-up campaigns, kitchen gardens, and awareness sessions on sanitation and climate change. Now, after meeting all Environment-Friendly Local Governance Criteria, Tupa proudly holds the title of the first environment-friendly village in Rukum East.
