Welcoming newborns – here’s how it’s going with preparing the way for the Tansen maternity ward expansion. First we had to build a new space for the admin offices, on a roof! This is getting close to finished – there has been huge recent progress with the walls and concrete roof completed in March. We hope the interior will be completed ready for admin to move in this month. Then the old admin offices will be converted into space for 18 extra beds for maternity patients, doubling the existing capacity.
