The trainees and interns of UMN organised a two day workshop entitled “Role of Youth in social transformation” in Nepal Theological College, Satdobato from 24th to 25th June, 2010.
There were altogether 37 attendees from 10 different Nepali churches. Each trainee/intern brought 3 youth participants from their respective churches. The workshop’s main objectives was to share about UMN’s Integral Mission approach, to make the participants understand about the Biblical view of social concerns along with the role of youth in social transformation.
Each day, the workshop started with a devotion followed by interactive, audio-visual presentations from all the 9 trainees/interns and other fun activities such as games, group work, action songs, etc. This was a very good opportunity for the young people to build network within different churches and to discuss about the implementation of Integral Mission approach in each area of work

Its a kind of achievement for me because for the very first time I was doing a presentation among so many young people and it helped me to gain more confidence. I was very touched to see the level of participation and cooperation. In the past, I had attended a few workshops but for this was a different experience. The two days workshop is a blessing for me.

“The two days workshop helped me to enhance my self-confidence. Organising and managing such event was a new experience for me, but by the grace of our God, I, along with my co-trainees/interns, were able to carry it out very well. I was very encouraged to see the participants” initiation in teaching us some of the action songs, which everyone enjoyed.”

Since public relation is one of the most precious assets in today’s world, the workshop on Integral mission and youth responsibility has helped me to network with about 36 participants and let them know the clear meaning about Integral Mission and how they can contribute in this vital subject. On other hand the workshop was really interactive so we were able to know about different views regarding the topic and beyond the topic as well.
