Prayer Points – April 8
- The Incident Management Team (IMT) and other key staff members are meeting constantly to plan UMN’s response to the current situation. Cluster Team Leaders are also seeking to find the best ways forward in their areas.┬аPray wisdom and clear guidance┬аfor all of these as they work together taking important decisions that will shape the work in the coming months.
- Tightened travel restrictions this week are making it hard for us to send staff as┬аextra ├втВм┼Уsurge support├втВм┬Э to the Hospitals┬аin communication and reporting and may make it hard for us to bring in doctors.┬а Please pray for an exception to be agreed that allows us to get the necessary people to our Hospitals!
- Please pray that UMN’s┬аHospitals will be added to the government’s official list┬аof coronavirus response hospitals, in keeping with the role that the Hospitals have been assigned by local and provincial authorities.
- In Bajhang and Nawalparasi districts,┬аhundreds of former migrant workers┬аhave returned to extensive quarantine and isolation measures.┬а Rapid testing for COVID-19 is now going on.┬а Please pray for protection for these workers and the prevention of any outbreak.
- Three of UMN’s Cluster Teams have been asked by local governments to translate the official public┬аmessages on COVID-19 into local minority languages.┬а These are now being broadcast to villages who are hearing in their mother tongue how to stop coronavirus.┬а Please pray for this to reach the people who need it most.┬а
