Prayer Points – March 22
Prayer Points – March 22
In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, UMN invites all people of prayer to set aside time daily to ask for God’s help in our work in Nepal. The time suggested for UMN staff is 3.00 pm. For our friends around the world, we ask that you join us either at the equivalent time in your country of 3 pm Nepal time, or whenever you are able. Many have found setting a daily alarm on their phone a useful reminder.
Thank you for your fellowship in prayer.
Joel Hafvenstein

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.
(Jeremiah 29v11)
We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.
Major Matters for Prayer
  • In Nawalparasi Cluster – pray for the Integrated Rural Community Health (IRCH) project annual project proposal development and annual planning for 2021-22.

  • In Rukum Cluster – a monitoring team from Tearfund is visiting community of Putha Uttarganga RMs, pray for a successful monitoring trip. And Psychosocial First Aid and Self-Care training will be conducted for Government Health Workers of Putha and Bhume RMs as part of the capacity building of community health workers to provide psychological support to the community. Pray for the effective implementation of the mental health component in both RMs.

  • In Doti Cluster – Arun Belbase along with CORD Project team are engaging to finalise a three year proposal and documents. Pray for wisdom, strength and guidance for everything to be completed on time. Especially Arun who is busy in other different important organizational priorities.

  • In Doti – Pray for Keshav and Khadak. They are travelling to Bogtan Fudsil RM (24 March to April first week) to support CEAD Nepal on distributing and managing income generating activities under Samman (migration) project to 75 poorest households –  especially migrant returnees for their better income and livelihoods.

  • Please continue in daily prayer for the talks to finalise UMNs General and Project Agreements. There are some signs that positive progress is being made.
