Prayer Priorities – June 7, 2022
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7v14

We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.

  • The four-day ‘Safeguarding’ workshop for the local partner organisations and UMN Nawalparasi Cluster went well and was fruitful.
  • Also in Nawalparasi a joint coordination meeting with newly elected representatives of Palhinandan RM went well, helping to establish a good connection with them. And the cluster’s Quarterly Budget Review meeting went well.
  • The Bajhang team give thanks that all members and partners are all are fit and fine and able to get on with their work.
  • Please pray for members of our staff and some family members who are ill at this time. For Rabbi (ITS) as he continues his course of chemotherapy, and Dr Olak (Hospital Services Director) who is awaiting surgery in Delhi. Please also pray for the father of Sagar, the mother of Bhagirath, and the husband of Bal Kumari who underwent surgery in the past days.
  • Following the recent elections for local government, please pray for everyone in hospitals and clusters as we develop good working relationships with the newly elected local representatives (Mayors, Rural/Municipality chairs and Ward chairpersons). Good relations will be so helpful in order to making progress in every area of our work.
  • Further recruitment for various roles in UMN is continuing. Please pray for those who organise the Assessment Centre and who must make important decisions on who should be appointed. Great wisdom and understanding is needed.
  • In Doti please pray for the successful baseline survey of Children-Oriented Resilient Project (CORD) project. Project team are currently in the field to conduct the survey.
  • Pray for the approval from funding partners to resume the stopped projects in Doti due to a fraud case. Everything has been done to prevent this recurring.

If approved, we will have opportunity to work long-term in Mental Health support.
  • Please pray for the review workshop of Bajhang Cluster’s strategy plan. It is taking place on 7 to 10 June. We have a team from Thapathali office to support in the workshop. Participants in the workshop will be cluster team members, partner NGOs’ board and staff, and representatives from community groups.
