Reliable access to water is an increasing problem in Nepal – water which is essential for drinking, irrigation and for livestock. In Bungal, Bajhang, groundwater levels have been lowering, but thanks to some hard labour and basic resources, 35 recharge pits have been built this year, benefitting 200 hundred families through UMN’s new climate project.
