Prayer Priorities – March 22, 2022

We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.
Praise
- We are grateful to God for a successful heart surgery of Ruth’s father in Scotland and for the completion of 2nd phase of chemotherapy for Rabbi. As we thank the Lord let’s remember to pray for full healing.
- Praise for more expats returning to Tansen after a long break – and pray for their visas to come through quickly!
Prayer
- Continue in prayer for the approval of two Project Agreements which are in the final stages of the process – but taking longer than expected. Another one is still under consideration.
- Please pray for Joel and his family as they are visiting cluster, friends and families and prepare to leave Nepal in April.
- We have been praying for resolution of problems with the health insurance plan which helps finance work at the hospitals. This week Jivan will be meeting with the heads of the health insurance in Kathmandu on Wednesday. Please pray for resolution of any issues, and prompt payment of what is owed to the hospital!
- Please pray for a Tansen Hospital staff member, Jabbi, who is very sick and on dialysis in KTM. He is a young man with a family and prognosis is uncertain. Also Pray for our workshop staff as the weather gets hotter, and water problems and other issues arise that they need to deal with. Pray for adequate water/rain as the dry season is starting.
- In Kapilvastu, please pray for the monitoring visit by representatives from the Rural Municipality, journalists, UMN and DSDC officials to the Hamro Pahunch project.
- In Kapilvastu the SECURE project next phase design process has kickstarted from Tuesday 22 March. Please pray for Rup, Melsan, Bhagirath, Prem Singh, Niki and Kabin for wisdom and diligence to incorporate Co-Design Principles and Bottom-up Project Design in the next phase.
- Also in Kapilvastu pray for a successful Coordination meetings of farmers and off farm entrepreneurs with Local government in Yashodhara Rural Municipality under the RECOV project.
- In Nawalparasi please pray for the successful completion of three and half days Disability Inclusive Development project design workshop. Pray for the UMN team and community participants who are involved in this process.
- In Nawalparasi pray for the health workers of Palhinandan RM and Pratappur Rural Municipality who are going to involve in skilled birth attendant (SBA) and Adolescent sexual reproductive health (ASRH) training this week and next week.
- In Rukum East pray for Jiwan Rai as he conducts the second round of Sangsangai training with pastors and leaders in Dalibang to equip their groups to engage in community service.
