Every working day, UMN is working towards gender equality
across Nepal through our local partners. Gender bias, discrimination and
stereotypes are still huge barriers to freedom and fullness of life in Nepal,
and around the world. This has prompted our Gender Appeal so we can keep bringing gender justice in
Nepal.

“Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow” is the UN’s
theme for this year, to advance gender equality through women’s leadership,
focusing on climate crisis and disaster risk reduction – another strong emphasis
of UMN! Let us appreciate the women in our lives and commit to stand against
injustices towards women and girls, to benefit the earth as well as all people.
