Today, UMN’s Okhaldhunga Community Hospital received and welcomed seven key representatives from local, district and provincial government who were very impressed when they saw and learnt more about our work. The provincial health minister and health secretary, chief district officer, alongside four newly-elected officials: the mayor and deputy mayor of Siddicharan Municipality and chairpersons of Molung and Khijidemba Rural Municipalities, visited key parts of the hospital including outpatients, emergency, lab, maternity waiting home and different wards. We were delighted to have this opportunity and hope they will assist us to gain approval as a 100-bed hospital so we can serve more patients and train more nursing students.
