We are very sad to inform our friends about the passing away of a senior Nepali Christian Leader, respected Rev. Robert Karthak, this morning around 3 am. He was 95.

 

The Nepali Chrisitan community has lost a great pillar of faith and a pioneer leader of its history. 

Joel Hafvenstein, UMN’s Executive Director writes,

“I join our brothers and sisters across Nepal and worldwide in celebrating the life and grieving the death of Pastor Robert Karthak, a pioneering pastor and faithful steward of the church in Nepal whose friendship with UMN went back 65 years.  His passion for the gospel and for the spiritual health of the church was undiminished to the very end.  Pastor Robert knew that for him death was nothing to fear – that he would join the Lord he served so long and so faithfully.  May God bless and console all those who are remembering him today.”
