Solving irrigation woes
Solving irrigation woes
Three irrigation schemes have recently been constructed in three wards of Bungal in Bajhang District under UMN’s CLIMATES Project. This will now directly benefit three farmers groups covering nearly 90 households. Although low land areas have canal irrigation facilities, the fields on the upland are devoid of any options. But now through the sprinkler irrigation which has been recently built, community people will be able to cultivate high value crops like vegetables even during dry seasons.

An added benefit of sprinkler irrigation is that it can irrigate more areas with less water in less time, which will help the communities to be water smart.
