Prayer Points – April 15
- For a strong sense of unity throughout UMN as we communicate and work together to discern the way forward in the coming weeks and months. Pray especially for the members of the Incident Management Team (IMT), and the Cluster Team Leaders.
- As the Covid-19 disease seems to be spreading in Nepal (today it is reported there are 16 cases) pray for our Government and all medical services throughout the country as they manage this crisis.
- The town of Dhangadhi in Kailali, west Nepal has become the epicenter of this COVID-19 with six patients with Covid19 positive under treatment. More than 150,000 Nepalis have returned home from India and there is high risk of community spread in the area. Local governments are doing their best providing food, health facilities and quarantine. Please pray for all involved in responding to this crisis. Also, remember our clusters in Doti and Bajhang and our local partners who are preparing to respond to the need in communities.
- Please pray for our Okhaldhunga Hospital leadership team, especially Hospital Director, Yubraj Acharya and Nursing Superintendent, Pabita Rai who are leading the COVID-19 preparedness effort.
- For all staff in both Tansen & Okhaldhunga Hospitals – pray peace, stamina and wisdom in the presence of fear and anxiety. That everyone will demonstrate compassionate care for the sick and for each other.
