Prayer Points – September 13
Prayer Points – September 13
In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, UMN invites all people of prayer to set aside time daily to ask for God’s help in our work in Nepal. The time suggested for UMN staff is 3.00 pm. For our friends around the world, we ask that you join us either at the equivalent time in your country of 3 pm Nepal time, or whenever you are able. Many have found setting a daily alarm on their phone a useful reminder.
Thank you for your fellowship in prayer.
Joel Hafvenstein

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.
Isaiah 26v3-4

We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.
Major Matters for Prayer
  • Please continue praying for the health and protection of all staff. A number have been unwell recently and need the healing hand of the Lord.

  • Discussion continues with Government over the Project Agreements. Pray that there will be more acceptance of the work that UMN seeks to do, and that the right form of words will be found for these agreements.

  • The Cluster Teams have been busy with Pandemic and also Monsoon response. We rejoice that much has been done and good relationships formed with leaders in communities. We need your prayer that there will be growing openness locally toward the work of Cluster Teams.

  • Please continue in prayer for our hospitals and all staff. Medical help and treatment continues daily for all who come, and we pray that as we serve Jesus will heal. Please also pray for five new ex-pat staff who are currently preparing to come to Tansen Hospital.

  • Pray for Clusters as they are preparing for District Project Advisory Committee meetings and Social Audit, which are also part of the legal obligations.
