Prayer Points – September 14
Prayer Points – September 14
In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, UMN invites all people of prayer to set aside time daily to ask for God’s help in our work in Nepal. The time suggested for UMN staff is 3.00 pm. For our friends around the world, we ask that you join us either at the equivalent time in your country of 3 pm Nepal time, or whenever you are able. Many have found setting a daily alarm on their phone a useful reminder.
Thank you for your fellowship in prayer.
Joel Hafvenstein

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
(Matthew 6:6)
We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.
Major Matters for Prayer
  • In Tansen hospital, a patient admitted for a separate problem, developed symptoms and tested positive for COVID-19 so, we have quarantined some exposed staff and reduced some of our services.  Pray for the staff who are working harder to cover gaps and those awaiting their test results.
  • Pray for the Doti cluster’s project implementing partners and their staff. They are in the community and have restarted project activities under COVID-19 pandemic. Pray for their safety, protection, wisdom and strength to complete the planned activities and budgets (which must be done before December 2020). Ask God to help and provide wisdom to cluster team members to support them technically and psychologically as they coach and mentor them from a distance to complete the activities and budgets.

  • Please pray for our colleague Suraj Sonar – for a quick recovery from COVID-19 as he has been tested COVID positive this week. Pray also for his family members who are worried. His wife is waiting for her PCR report.

  • Pray for Kapilvastu Cluster partner organizations—Sunshine Social Development Organisation and Dalit Social Development Centre. They have been struggling to implement field activities due to the continuous halt of movement in Kapilvastu. Please pray for wisdom and diligence for them, and health and safety of the frontline staffs implementing the projects.
